ST. JOHN BAPTIST CELEBRATION
The celebration of the patron saint is one of the most popular and unmissable events. Every first Sunday of July a big crowd takes to the streets to pay tribute to St. John whose statue makes its triumphal way along the roads of the city, among explosions of confetti and colored lights in the background. A striking ceremony culminating with an amazing fireworks show to end with a bang the soiree.

RE CUCCO PARADE
The colorful carnival floats, where the legendary Re Cucco is proudly displayed, are followed by the cheerfulness of dressed up groups and street artists: this sparkling night is one of the most important event in Scoglitti since the 1978.
THE LANTERN FESTIVAL
A real must in the Summer of Scoglitti: this event full of music, dance performances and tasty local dishes comes to life on the Riviera Lanterna promenade. La Pupa, the traditional puppet with a feminine appearance, is the magical representation of the Summer: it is burned in the usual bonfire on the beach, with thousand sparkles on the sea in a folk party atmosphere.
