How can the availability of accommodation for a stay be known?

You can check the availability of the house through our website www.horizonhouse.it, clicking on the button “BOOK NOW” in the homepage. You will find a calendar view with available days and price.

What do we mean for “minimum stay”?

“Minimum stay” means the minimum number of days of stay required by our structure.

 


What is the minimum stay required?

The minimum stay required is 7 days.

 


What is a “check-in” and “check-out”?

“Check-in” means the day of your arrival at the accommodation. It takes place starting at 15:00 p.m. The “check-out”, however, is where you leave the accommodation. Check-out time is before 10:00 a.m.

 


What should I do if I see the message “The minimum stay in this period is 7 nights”?

In the event that you should view one of these messages after entering the dates of the period of stay, you will need to change the dates in the search panel or on the calendar itself, as those you entered do not meet the criteria of “minimum stay” required by us.

Notify the acceptance of the estimate

  • By e-mail or phone and you will be sent the appropriate reservation form.

Complete your reservation

  • It is necessary to pay 30% of the total amount, as a deposit, within 4 days.
    You must then send a copy of the payment made and a copy of an identity document of the person who books, at the email address info@horizonhouse.it or via whatsapp to the number +39 389 11 78 368.

 


How can I pay the booking deposit?

It is possible to pay the deposit by bank transfer (the data will be sent at the time of booking registration), with online payment by credit/debit card and through the Paypal circuit.

 


When do I have to pay the balance?

Upon arrival, a check will be carried out on the condition of the accommodation and the facilities present, verifying your satisfaction. In case of a positive outcome, the balance will be requested.

 


What methods of payment are accepted upon arrival for payment of the balance?

The payment of the balance upon arrival can be made in cash or by credit card. We do not accept checks.

 


Which credit cards are accepted?

We accept all credit cards of the main circuits available.

 


If I want to cancel my reservation, am I entitled to a refund of the deposit?

You can withdraw from the contract up to thirty days before the expected date of arrival, by written notice that must reach us within the aforementioned deadline. In this case, you will be refunded the amount of the deposit, within seven working days from the communication of the withdrawal. If the withdrawal is communicated beyond the aforementioned term, we will retain 30% of the total amount of the reservation paid to us as a booking deposit. You are not entitled to a refund of the deposit for offers or rates marked as “non-refundable”. If the reservation is made through external booking platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com), their respective cancellation policies must be followed.

 


What happens if, after having booked accommodation, I do not show up at the apartment on the day of arrival?

In the event that you do not have to present at check-in, without any prior notice of withdrawal, we will retain the entire deposit received, but you will be required to still pay the balance (according to the agreed price) within seven working days from the date agreed arrival.

 


Is a security deposit required upon arrival?

As a deposit you will be asked to provide us with a valid credit card to guarantee the condition of the accommodation. In the event that you do not have a credit card, you will be asked to pay € 200, which will be returned at check-out, after having checked the condition of the apartment together.

What languages are spoken?

We speak in Italian, English, German and Spanish.

 


What are the times to access the apartment and which ones to return the keys of the same?

Check-in is from 15:00 p.m. Check-out is expected before 11:00 a.m.. As there is no reception, check-in time must be communicated in advance in order to arrange an appointment for the keys to be delivered to the apartment. At check-in we will arrange for the return of keys at the end of the stay.

 


Is anyone available for any problems with the apartment?

Yes, our staff is at your disposal to make your stay more pleasant, solving any problems that have occurred in the accommodation or to respond to your requests for information.
We guarantee complete assistance and prompt intervention, compatibly with the working hours of the technicians needed in the case of specific interventions. It is therefore necessary to notify our staff by telephone to signal the presence of a possible failure. You can take advantage of our customer assistance number (+39 389 11 78 368) active 9 am-9 pm, present in the “Guide to the apartment” that you will find in the accommodation and that will be illustrated to you by the reception staff during check-in. Alternatively, you can send us an email to info@horizonhouse.it.

 


What happens if I cause damage to the accommodation during my stay?

In this case it is necessary to inform our staff about the damage caused. The sum necessary for the repair of the damage will be at your charge. In the event that we find damage in the apartment after your departure, we promise to notify you within three days of check-out.

 


Is it possible to introduce animals into the house?

No, pets are not allowed either inside the house or in the outdoor areas (swimming pool, parking) of the private property.

 


Is the place available for the car?

Yes, you can take advantage of the free parking in front of the property. It is not a guarded parking lot. Horizon House declines all responsibility for damages and theft caused by strangers to motorcycles, cars, bicycles and personal belongings left in the parking area.

 


Does the “holiday house” service include breakfast?

No, the formula “holidays house” or “tourist lease” does not provide a breakfast service. In the reserved accommodation you will find what is necessary to prepare breakfast and a first-rate welcome.

 


Are prices always included in the price such as water, gas, electricity and internet?

Yes, everything is included in the price unless the opposite is specified.

 


In the accommodation will I find the bed linen and towels?

Yes, the price includes 2 sets of sheets and pillowcases, towels, face and bidet towels. In addition bath mats and kitchen towels, which you will find in the apartment in sufficient quantity. In the house there is a washing machine for guests to wash their own clothes and the linen supplied. If guests need extra linen, this will be provided at extra cost.

 


Is the house equipped with everything needed for cooking?

The house is equipped with a hob, crockery, cutlery and crocker

Who helps me during my holidays?

During the check-in the reception staff is at your disposal to give you all the information about the area (restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, places of interest, etc.). What are the airports connected to the province of Ragusa?

The main airport of the province is Comiso Airport “Pio La Torre”, located 25 km from Horizon House, which offers national and international connections with Rome, Milan, Pisa, London, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf. The nearest airport is Catania International Airport, which is about 110 km from the holiday house. You can reach the province of Ragusa also from the airports of Palermo and Trapani (about 250 km from accommodation).

 


Is it necessary to use the car for my holiday in the province of Ragusa?

The province of Ragusa is an area not very connected to public transport, so we suggest you always have a means of transport at your disposal. Horizon House is located about 2 km from the center of Scoglitti for which you can move on foot, although for convenience you need (and recommended) the use of the vehicle.

 


How can I rent a car?

You can contact us, as we collaborate with some agencies that provide a car rental service and organize transfers on request.

 


What are the main tourist points of interest?

We are located in the province of Ragusa, in the south-eastern part of Sicily, in the “baroque” heart of the Val di Noto, Unesco World Heritage Site, in a strategic position to visit all the tourist sites of the territory.
From Scoglitti you can easily reach the regional archaeological museum of Kamarina (5 Km), the castle of Donnafugata (17 Km), Punta Secca (18 Km), Marina di Ragusa (23 Km), Ragusa Ibla (35 Km), Scicli ( 38 km), all the places of the “Commissario Montalbano” (known television transposition of the novels by Andrea Camilleri).
It is also worth visiting Modica (48 km) famous for the production of chocolate and Noto (82 km) to admire buildings in Baroque style.
It is also possible to take day trips to the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento (100 km). Easily accessible, too, is Syracuse (107 km) famous for the beautiful Greek theaters. Not far away is the port of Pozzallo (58 km), with direct links to the island of Malta.
